Omika Katoch, PhD
Research Staff (Jointly with Sundd Lab) PhD from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India Omika is from Jammu, India. Her PhD dissertation was on “Application of histone decetylase inhibitor (HDACi) in Radiation Countermeasure”. She is currently interested in mouse genetics, making new murine knockout models with hematological pathophysiology and understanding the role of iron -senescence induced organ injury in Sickle Cell Disease. Outside science, Omika is a big fan of Bollywood movies and the "Allu Arjun". |
Shweta Gudapati
Undergraduate researcher Shweta is an undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University studying biology and biomedical engineering. She specializes in mice genotyping, qRT-PCR, and biochemical assays. Currently, she is working on understanding the roles of various clotting proteins in the progression of liver cirrhosis. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, reading, and playing the piano. |

Currently, he is studying the effect of aging on the liver sinusoidal structures (using bioinformatics and statistical analysis of liver intravital images).
